    I am putting together 'Mr. Tips' SLAUGHTERHOUSE POULTRY BRINE.  My question is, do you mix the ingredients dry or is there some cooking needed?   TIA  Larry

    I have a very limited space to work with,and a refer that is too small to thaw meat in sooooooo, I would like to know IF, I can thaw a 14lb. Turkey while it is in a saltwater brine??  (Adding ice when needed to keep the temp in the "SAFE ZONE".)

    Actually the MK.24 is (was) a real torpedo, used in the late 50's and on into the 60's.  The MK. 24 replaced the steam powered MK. 14 & 16, and the 24 was replaced with the MK. 32, and just before I got out of the Navy the MK. 42 was in limited service.    TM/3  USN  1967 - 1971.

    Thermometer's

    Is there such a thing as a thermometer that you can put in the door (MFPS) WITH a probe for the meat?  Or do you suggest just probing the meat as you go, just seems like a big loss of smoke and heat.

    The info here is great, (actually been LURKEN for about a month), lots of info, and questions.   One wonders thou - do you try to catch the drippens, or just let them pass through?  When you smoke a turkey, or chicken wouldn't the drippens cause more smoke or fire?
