I was thinking of using Jeff's finishing sauce for this Butt. I have tried the cider vinegar finishing sauce already...thought I would try something different...Hey Mossy are your twins done yet??
Can a Pork Butt be pulled the day after it was smoked or is it best to pull it while it is still warm and not been cooled down?? It is going to be late tonite after it rests and I am not sure if I want to pull it tonite anymore. Thanks.

Just pulled out the fatty's and the ABT's....Man are those ABT's absolutely delicious Fatty's turned out very tasty also...I had mixed these up from deer season last year...I put pepper jack cheese in them...yummy! Wife had to pull me away from the plate of ABT's before I totally wiped...

I put a 7 lb. Pork Butt on the smoker this morning for pulled pork. Lathered it up with French's mustard and covered it in Jeff's Rub last nite. Sorry, no pictures..:( Threw on a couple of venison fatty's with cheese and whipped up some ABT's with fresh Jalepenos out of the garden. Got...

I too have just purchased jeff's rub but not have had the chance to try it out yet. I mixed up the rub yesterday...it is similar to a rub I had been using. I am anxious to try out the BBQ sauce tho.. Can you use the sauce as a finishing sauce also??
Thanks everyone. I will be trying 2 fattys right out of the wrapper and rubbed, and 2 of them I am going to stuff with cheese and onion and rub. Will go with the smoking at 225 degrees. Low and slow!! Will try and post pics when they are done. Any preference to what kind of wood? I thought about...

I have seen all the different ways(I Think) most of you make fattys and I know the internal temp needs to be 160 degrees, but what is the smoking temp supposed to be and approx. how long do they take? Also, JD seems to be the sausage of choice, but a substitute like John Morrell would...
