20 lbs isn't to bad probably, but its hard to say for sure since we are not completely sure where the temps were at. There is not a formula that I am aware of. If you are sealed up really tight, even the fire access door. You may get longer burn times. I am pretty regular to get 20 plus hours... -

Nice work brother!!!!! Sucker is really starting to shine like a diamond. Not sure what the plans are for the trailer axles but I fell in love with um as soon as I say that pic. I would build my frame, beef up the frame on the axles then marry the two just like the big rig trailers are...- tom37

Sounds like its working out for ya, but I think I would have used that meat probe to read my smoker temps during the cook. Then every so often, clean the probe and check the meat. Everything looks great!!!! The only thing I would do different would be flip flop the chicken with the pork. I... -

Yes, comet like the bathroom cleaner. I have talked to several guys that have used the burn method on the barrel liners, still had liner left and used the comet on it and it wiped out. No Kidding. Makes me want to grab a lined drum and try it for myself.- tom37

OMG........the inside? I would go after it with a propane weed burner. If you don't already have one, its time to hit Harbor Freight and grab one. They sure make lighting fires a breeze. Anyways, I would hit it with the flames and after it cools, do the comet wash and call it good. Gotta...- tom37

Galvanized Barrel???
I will have to vote that you more then likely got it plenty hot. I would see what will clean off with a hand held wire brush first. Next I would use the comet. Then if I could scratch the surface and it appeared to be more layers then I would punt. I weld a fair amount of galv, and its bad...- tom37

Galvanized Barrel???
If it was galv and it burned, It would show up as a fluffy white powdery looking stuff. Like nasty white fluff cob webs. When it was burning it would also have made a snap crackle pop and sizzle. Along with green smoke. I bet what you have is the imfamus barrel liner. You might try hitting...- tom37
