    2nd Traeger Flame Out

Exactly what has happened both times. Pellets over load and snuff out the fire I guess. I thoroughly cleaned it before starting the butts.

    2nd Traeger Flame Out

    2nd Traeger Flame Out

This morning at 0300 I started 3 pork butts on my pretty new (got it in May I think) Traeger Pro Series 22. Set it at 225 and went back to bed. Got up at 0630 and it had shut down. I don't remember the code it displayed but it is the 2nd time now this has happened. Another time I started it...

    Lumberjack pellets

We pay about $15 for a forty pound bag here. The Fruitwood is only a 20 pound bag and still costs $15. I have been using them in my Traeger and like them just fine so far.

Need a new pellet smoker, help.

When I bought my Traeger I had no idea about the other brands that were available. I don't regret buying it but I wish I had known so I could have checked others out. I got a super deal on mine to so that eases the guilt of the large price tag. Mine had a very small ding in it and the place...

Why don't you want another Traeger? I think they're well built and function well. I've only had mine for a couple months but so far are really like it.

    Whole chick on the traeger

I think I’d still put a seasoning on it after the oil. 165* never seems done enough for me either. Good luck! I love a good chick!

Breaking in the Vortex on the kettle: questions.

What size Vortex is it? Which size should I get for 22" Weber? The medium? Are you all getting the actual Vortex brand or knock offs?

Oh, I know that but I need to know where to go when I have a question or want to show off something I did! Nothing happening on AT so this is where I go!

    Where to Post?

I'm wondering which section gets the most activity. It seems Al sees EVERYTHING, lol, but I would like to know which is the most popular.

    First Time Smoking Wings

Pro Series 22. I really like it. One thing I’m wondering about is the controller that’s on the timberline series. I wonder if that thing can really get to500*. Mine gets up to 435 or so 440 once.
