    8 hrs into butt, (smoking)/lol... a few beers down along the way!! temp showing 163 going slow now .... gonna foil @ 165 put in gas smoker warming up now ...& bring to 200 I used my charbroiller pro/w/sfb..... lumpwood charcoal/& oak wood...for fire .......& apple& hickory for the smoke...ok...

    Ok I got my pork butt up to 145 ,,, now I know foil @ 165 & go to 200 & so on... my question is ... can i put butt in a heavy duty stainless steell pan put in the apple juice / cap`n morgan/ soy sauce mix in bottom & cover with temp probe of course !!! lol & finish to 200* ..... any ideas ????

    what type of cherry wood can you use

    Darn I cut 2-trees in front of my house this past summer 1 was a weeping cherry,, flowered in spring & the other one was red japanise maple ,, the red jap had some sort of disiese it died in 1 yr.. the weeping cheery was getting to big .. so i said chop chop .... bye !!! gave the wood away...

GREAT price, I would buy 3-slabs cook one , & if you got a vacum sealer that is a great way to freze ,,,, freze the other 2... if you don`t have a vacum sealer wrap them in alot of saran wrap 1st then you can use frezer paper and write on frezer paper what the product is...

    I am gonna do my pulled pork on saturday for the super bowl,,, when this is done how can i reheat on sunday with out drying it out,,, I was gonna prepare it all on satuday,,, so i can cook my chicken & ribs sunday !! GO GIANTS !!!
