Having a kegerator is awsome. I have four taps on mine with perlik faucets. Looks pretty. IV only only done a couple meads myself. I love em but teas alelover said, they mess me up too!
The bacon is already sliced. I have never heard of pig candy. Something new I need to look into. At the very least I will have plenty of bacon to wrap fatties and loins.

Just got done loading my chest freezer with an entire processed hog. Best part is, I only paid 20 bucks for it in a raffle! I've never seen my freezer have so much meat in it. Looks like I will be smoking plenty of pork in my near future.

Thanks red. Might be a good investment for me to pick one up. I think my smoker is fairly close in design to the MES. I can't say that I have seen the pellets or dust sold in the store but I assume they are easy to find. What would be the difference between using the pellets vs dust?

Cooked at 240 until it hit plateau at 162 IT. I pulled off the smoker and finished it in the oven in a pan covered with foil at 225 until it hit 200 IT. Smoked with apple chips and used the finishing sauce in the sticky. Couldn't tell whether or not the finishing sauce did a...
This was my first attempt cooking a butt. I think it turned out very well. 7 lbs. It took about 9 1/2 hours. I forgot to take a before picture but at least I remembered when it was finished.
