    if you dunk them in ice water for a few minutes the second you take them out of the smoker shrinkage wont be such an issue, looks mighty tasty!!!!! good job.

    i did this once with about a 15#. wrapped it in heavy foil for the first few hours, no creosote issues. i do mine a min of 12 hrs anyway so didnt notice effects on tenderness. i dont make it a point to freeze mine first but no longer hesitate to go from freezer to pit.

    my bad, i had two other windows open at the time searching for a 3/8. i menat to type a 3/4 came with it. not the 3/8. i found one that claims to fit for 25 bucks plus shipping from some country store in texas... thats an obscene price and im not paying it. sorry about the confusion

    i just bought a 5lb vertical stuffer for 89 bucks from "the sportsmans guide" online. same model i'd seen elsewhere from 129 to 149$ im very happy with it but of the three tubes it comes with the 3/8 isnt one of them. (needed for making snack stix with the 19mm casings)
