Having a 1st birthday party for my kid this weekend. I'm just debating on the timing, as I don't have a full day off to do this like I normally do... and the last one I made sure it was done the day before and stocked with juices to re-heat the following day in a Crock Pot.
Party is on...
I don't. Just sewing thread.....
Wally World is open before I wake up. I'll push my smoke back about an hour. NBD, as im smoking for Saturday to re-warm in crockpots.
I've always done bone-in. We're getting ready for a birthday party this weekend, and I'm smoking two pork shoulders ahead of time to put in the crock pots for Saturday.
I bought the pork shoulder packages from Cosco that gave me 2 boneless pork shoulders. First time doing boneless, I've done...
agreed. I really like it - and it's nice that there are no mods needed. It seems to do everything out of the box that takes more money & time with the other popular option.
Thanks. I just hate waiting for it to age into the cheese. :)
The ice helps - and so does our cold weather outside lol.
It's been a nice unit, and love that I don't need to do anything to it mod-wise to do everything I've done so far. Full out of the box solution!
I got it this past summer - no issues so far. I really like it. I know the other brand you have to do all sorts of mods and what not to do everything this unit can do. I'm happy.
Smoked some cheese over the weekend. I love that the Smoketronix has the cold smoke feature built in - and it's easy to run this right now especially with the current COLD Wisconsin weather!
I took advantage of the cold weather to smoke some cheese!
My family had some of my first batch during the Super Bowl, and I depleted my inventory lol. This weekend it was nice and chilly so I made another batch - mozzarella, gouda & cheddar to some apple chips!
Now they sit and wait!
I'll know on the garlic in a couple days. I just wanted to do it now since I had the cheese (which was on super sale) to try too.
I didnt have them covered at all - I probably should have just let them sit for 2-3 hours instead of overnight. The Moz didn't crack at all, just the cheddar. Who...
Probably let it sit in the fridge uncovered too long overnight - the cheddar dried out and cracked. The Moz is fine. Still vac packed it, and will check it out in about 2 weeks
