It was just a bad batch of ribs! Keep telling yourself that and buy more. They'll be better next time! They should be fallin off the bonez. I use costco ribs most of the time and have been FOTB every time with the 2-2-1. Try, try again!
Hi Jack! Welcome aboard! Do yourself a favor and sign up for the 5 day ecourse! It is full of great information and it will help out a lot with questions you might have. I know it helped me with my first smoke. The folks on the forum are very friendly and helpful so don't be afraid to ask...
That sure looks good! I'm new to smoking and haven't had a chance to do a butt yet but I think that is next on my list! Seeing yours convinced me that it's time! Thanks for sharing!
Nice truck! I have a 2004 Chevy Crew Cab and it has 99,800 miles on it. i will be doing the front brakes on it tomorrow for the first time in it's life. I love this truck and will be sad to put it down some day. But looking forward to it's replacement with all the new options! Congrats!
Hi Barrycuda! I have a Masterbuilt XL and I use a throw away aluminum pan to catch drippings that is much bigger than the water pan because that water pan isn't big at all as you know! It seems to work pretty well for me!
Oh, welcome to SMF!
You want one for the chamber temp because you can't trust the one on the door. Then you need one for the meat. If you check out the Maverick ET-732, it will do both for you with one system. Kind of cool! I just got one myself from Todd at www.amazenproducts.com. He has a special going right...
Looks like you're on your way! Welcome aboard and good luck! The MES 30 and 40 seem to be very popular here so there should be no end to the help you can get! No matter the type of smoker you have, the fundamentals seem to apply "low and slow" the name of the game!
