Some of the best Enchiladas my wife has made have been done with Pulled Pork.

    Cooking in the rain

Today was a busy day.  Not only did I cook some pulled pork, I also cooked pork sirloins, meatloaf, baked potatoes, and some burnt ends from some chuck roast that I cooked.  I took pictures of the pork picnic shoulder, and of the burnt ends.  Sorry no picture of the meatloaf.  It got eaten too fast.

    Cooking in the rain

I’m in sunny California where the sun shines all the time.  Of course the day that I plan on cooking pulled pork in my smoker it decides to rain.  So up goes my awning, and my cooking goes on.

    Need help with a recipe

The chili is done.  I made some chicken chili using some smoked chicken scraps that I had in the freezer.

    Need help with a recipe

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.  When I told my wife what was suggested, she said “why not make some chili instead, we have all the ingredients.” So I am making some chili today.  I will post some pics when the chili is done.

    Need help with a recipe

I bought a cast iron skillet to use in my offset smoker. I have since found out how few recipes there are available for food that is cooked at 250 degrees. I am firing up my smoker tomorrow to cook some ribs, and thought this would be a good time to use my skillet. Does anyone have any ideas...

    Cleaning out my RF Smoker

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately my smoker is not located in an area where stem cleaning is an option.

    Cleaning out my RF Smoker

I came up with an easy way to clean out the sludge in my Reverse Flow Smoker.  I bought a hoe at a yard sale for two dollars.  I then took a piece of cardboard and traced the curvature of my smoker on to it.  This became the template that I copied on to the hoe.  Next it was off to the grinder...

    Smoking food for wood

My mechanic talked about oil changes in exchange for cooking.  So far, I haven't needed an oil change in my car.

    Smoking food for wood

I stopped by my local auto shop to have my car serviced and showed the mechanic pictures of my new smoker.  Fast forward three months.  Now I am smoking food for him in exchange for wood.  Not a bad deal if I say so myself.

Has anybody heard of HQ Fabrication Smokers?

The smoker works fine.  When I bring it up to temp, it goes to 250 degrees and stays there for a long time.  This smoker uses less wood then my old smoker used.

Has anybody heard of HQ Fabrication Smokers?

I bought a smoker from HQ Fabrication.  Unfortunately, they have closed their business.  I tried to contact the owner last month when I cooked a pig on the smoker that they built for me.  If you bring up their website, it says permanently closed.
