sounds like something else, maybe the blade is in backwards? thats what it sounds kinda like to me the flat part needs to be up against the plate. might sound dumb but i think i had mine in wrong the first time and its easy to do.
My firepit i made in my backyard has a concrete bottom and i have not had a problem and i have had some hot a@@ed fires in it so i wonder why mine hasnt blown up? I built it before i knew about the explosion part.
i agree after looking again, there is no way thats a 3000 watt grinder, looks very cheaply made and its gonna be around a hundred, get the Northern tool grinder its way better for that price
