thanks guys.. this is a keeper recipe in our house now...
next time i am going to try and grill all the veggies. i am also going to roast everything on the grill, making this a totally outdoor recipe so we dont heat up the house this summer
didnt know where to post this so here goes
this is what was on the menu tonight
Spaghetti Squash w/a Roasted Vegetable Smoked Meatball Sauce
for the meatballs
1 1/2lbs ground beef
1/2 lb hot italian sausage
sprinkle of parmesan cheese
mix and roll into meatballs. i used a mix of cherry/maple...
the meat comes out tasty..lol
-plain habanero's (for a later use)
-ABT's (cream cheese,colby cheese,pepperoni)
-BAT's (burn your ass turds - habs stuffed with cream cheese)
-meatloaf
using cherry/alder wood mix

jalapeno's & habs deseeded...
i have been cooking on this for awhile now.. this weekend i am going to break it in with some pecan chips i found..

i built this last winter and am still doing some finishing touches on it..
old commodore filing cabinet
cut a hole in the top for a smoke stack
the stack - $3 at the Restore Store
installed a smokestack
high temp engine gasket to seal smokestack
indoor grill fits perfectly in bottom...
ever try putting a water pan in there?
i use a side burner from a cheapy grill on my smoker as well...water pan or a heat sink works well..for the heat sink i use a 1/4" piece of 12"X12" steel plate

thanks..the meat is really strong in the spice department. either of the sauces that i posted balance out that flavor.

i finally found the setting i like on my camera to take close up pics...
approx 3 pounds of ground meat(i used veal and pork)
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp thyme
1 1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp montreal steak spice
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
mix together...overworking is good here or you can run it through your food mixer. shape into a roll...
woooohoooooo i am going to stir the pot...lol

do what i do first when i have broken the bit on my hole saw... drill the hole first...it also sounds like your bit either wasnt sharp or wasnt tight

around here it is easier to find a "picnic" cut... if i can find a real boston butt, it is usually so small and trimmed that it is not worth it to me...
it turned out very well, still needs some tweaking but overall everybody loved it...now to find a couple of recipes using pulled pork..lol
