I finally found some half/way decent beef ribs in the local supermarket and since I already had pork ribs in the basket, smoked both.
Since everyone knows the appearance of raw meat, I'm posting finished product Qview only. Actually I forgot to take prep picks. Coated with mustard then rub...
Sorry for the unclear post. I sent off for the peppers last year. Maybe I should have scored them but they were tiny. Directions were to soak in water a few days before planting. Our house is where plants come to die. Or not grow!
Just because I'll try most anything once (twice if I like it), I sent off for a bunch of different New Mexico chile seeds from a site on the internet. I can do a lot of things, but growing stuff isn't my expertise. Nothing came up. I just blamed it on the seed supplier! Better luck to you...
Oops! I've already put the bottom tray and the water tray in the dishwasher...plus the racks. I line both trays with foil, but I can't see how it would be an issue. It's not like they have a non-stick coating, but thanks for the info.
I do things very similar to you (covering the trays), but...
I've used kitty litter in the bottom tray of my NG grill (Turbo) but didn't think of that for my smoker. Great idea. I always have a problem with liquids....not down the kitchen drain and don't want the mess in my garbage bin. Kitty litter will solve both issues.
Thanks.
Correct, sir. That's why I said similar to Pho. I applaud you as not many people are familiar with Hu Tieu Mi. It isn't really Hu Tieu Mi either as there are too many veggies and no seafood (shrimp, fish balls, squid, crab) and the spices are much different. There are hardly any spices in Hu...
Thank you, sir. I'll do a Google and find out where I can get some and give it a try. I have a pool and am very familiar with phosphates and how much algae likes it. It's what algae feeds on.

I recently smoked a picnic and used it all! Bones and last trimmings went into a pot of lima beans. I cut up some and put it in a gravy over rice. The best dish was using it in a soup similar to Pho, which is a Vietnamese soup, pronounce fu.....as in some peoples favorite four-letter word, Or...
Thanks people!! It looks like outside cleaning is the way to go. Then the dishwasher. Probably as the grates get dirtier I'll put them on the cranked up gas grill as suggested. And now I know I have a gen 2.5.
Thanks again.!

TallBM. This looks great! Plus I like a fusion of smoked meat in other dishes. I will be trying this as my last smoked picnic was used in a soup similar to Phở, (pronounced fa as in "fanatic" or fu without the usual two letters following), then cubed with some gravy and rice and finally the...
I love a strong smoke flavor and IMHO the Masterbuilt didn't give enough smoke to the meat with chips. I use the AMNPS now and it gets smoke in the chamber!!
