    I just had a friend of mine call and ask me if it was okay to bring some tofu to put on the smoker for his wife. I told him to tell her that I could only put it in the smoker if I soak it in bacon grease. She's not gonna come over I guess. Hahaha Just thought I would share that as I found it...

    Boiling of the Ribs?.....I Think Not!!!!!!!

    Went to a "Rib-fest" today. Evry single booth boiled ribs in sometin or other. Bunk is the word for all of that crap. Boiling= pouring out the flavor. I like ribs because they taste like ribs. Not pineapple juice or spiced water. Ribs are ribs. They've been killed once, why kill them again?

    Thank you all for the feedback. I must be doin somethin right. Also, I have a remote thermo, so I can still be outside and monitor the temps inside. Too nice of a day to sit and stare at the oven door and thermo display. Just set the alarm and wait......Truly amazing how many beers there are...

    She's lookin pretty good so far. I used Jeff's rub. 250 about 8 hours-til 160. Wrapped er in foil with some more spray. Now I'm waiting to get tol temp and cool. Patience is pretty tuff right now, but I'm gonna stick to the plan. I'll post some Q-views when done. Thanks for all the help once again!

    Yep. 3-2-1. I used my own rub recipe and pulled them at 170. Just the average rib smoke, I guess. Oh yeah, I used hickory, a little apple, and a bit of maple. Thanks for the positive feed back everyone!! I got some sirloin pork roasts goin today. Gettin up to temp any minute now

    Well, I did some ribs today. They turned out pretty good and tender. I think it was a good 1st try as they all got eaten! Can't wait to get them down a bit better.
