    I did a burn out on my 55 gal. drum last night and here are a few pics. The inside seems to still have that tannish color from the epoxy-phelonic liner still. Looks like i still need to take the wire wheel to it huh. Sorry for all these post about this but I just need to be sure before I start...

    sorry, i don't have the same situation as Buck Wheez. But i still have a tan liner or seal on the inside! Talked to BBQ Bubba and he said to burn it out and apply a wire wheel to it? Thoughts?

    I have the same problem as Buck WHeez. I have a used food-grade drum that contains a tan coating inside. I researched this and haven't had any luck finding info on it. But listening to all of you guys, a burn out would simply do it. thoughts? vandman

    Thanks, I can't wait to get the UDS up and running! I will post pics as soon as i can get back to working on it. One question about burn outs, I plan on doing one burn out followed by a seasoning the next day. Do you think this will be enough. The drum had grape juice in it.
