I did a burn out on my 55 gal. drum last night and here are a few pics. The inside seems to still have that tannish color from the epoxy-phelonic liner still. Looks like i still need to take the wire wheel to it huh.

Sorry for all these post about this but I just need to be sure before I start cooking in this. I don't want to get sick before I get married this March.

No..wait till after yer married. Heh!

Yeah..I'd either sandblast a bit or sand/wire wheel. I bet some 120 grit wet or dry paper and a little soapy water will cut it fine and quick.

That oughta clean that booger out. What about using a weed burner?
 
if you can.......find some busted pallets, or ones that someone wants to get way..........not only will that help with heat, but if you but up the pallet into longer pieces, so the fire reach up higher on the sides of the barrel
