Will do. I do have a Swedish woman working in human resources at the office...maybe I can score some great family recipe from her! lol
They most likely would...too bad there weren't any leftovers! Will have to make another batch. ;)
You know I rarely have to buy any spices cause I have just...
Tahnks! Haven't tried Moinks yet...but I bet they would be tasty...like miniature fatties!
Yeah I don't think I would change a thing for the meatballs...now gotta find a killer authentic Swedish sauce to go with it.
Great compliment, thank you! Grilling always makes me a little nervous as it's easy to overcook and ruin a piece of meat. But a reverse sear with some smoke was nice and easy! ;)
Thanks! It was great!
Thanks! However, if I was to do it again...I would try to keep the temps as low as possible...
Thanks bud. I did drain and let dry...but not long enough and they were not very salty. Was dissapointed that I couldn't replicate your taters. When I had seen your post I showed my wife and she got excited too! lol
Will give it another go this weekend when I have a little more time. Cheers...
So been with this group for over 5 years now and after all this time I've never bothered trying meatballs on the smoker...figured it was more trouble than it was worth. Boy was I wrong!
Anyhow, here's was I did;
For the meatballs I used
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 onion, peeled, grated
- 1/4 cup...
Well after reading/viewing through some awesome posts last week, I couldn't pass up trying some of the choices for myself over the weekend.
Picked up some flank at Costco (wasn't as thick as I would have liked) and some small taters too.
Marinated the flank overnight with a simple balsamic...
I know right! Of course my wife wasn't too pleased that her mom prefers my cooking than hers...but she still couldn't argue that the stew was pretty darn good!
Wasn't sure about it at first...my brother got me the cast iron cauldron for Christmas and wasn't sure how often I was going to use...
I'm a little late to the party but man do those look good. I've never tried beef ribs and I sooo want to now. I had already saved the salty potatoes from your other thread but think I might have to just pair them up like you did! Points for sure!
I wouldn't dare to compare it to Schwartz...those guys will never be beat IMO. Over the weekend I might stop by Schwartz's to pick up some of their mustard (I'll be grabbing a sammie too! lol), make up a sandwich on rye and truly see how it compares. It's good...I know that...but not Schwartz...
I hear ya! The family and I recently got back from a two week trip to DisneyWorld and last weekend was the first time I had a chance to break out the smoker...it was awesome! ;)
