Morning all! What are your plans for New Years eve dinner?
I bought a beeftenderloin. Only had select left. But looks really good.
A touch over 2 pounds of king crab.
Crab stuffed mushrooms.
And roasted asparagus.
Can't wait for chow time!
No luck on either. My GF wanted the tenderloin. My pkg of strips, the only one there, had three steaks but didn't have the bone the coupon mentioned. I don't believe I've every seen bone on strips other than T bones or Porterhouse. The good thing is the scan function in the Kroger app gets...
...still a great price. Last week I got the fresh Chicken Wings for 1.77/lb. Thanks Kurt this is a great thing. Funny, the trimmed whole Beeftenderloin for 9.99 mentioned earlier wasn't on the zip code written, but it is on sale at my local Kroger. Zip code 30019 if anyone wants to give it a...
The last of the fancy holiday meat orders from my favorite local butcher. The tenderloin was 2.01 pounds. I seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder and put it in the fridge for 3 hours. I debated sous viding but decided to throw it on the smoker. I kept the...
...coupon, either. Hoping some of you mid-west guys will have them cheaper and with a digital coupon.
One of our digital deals is trimmed whole beeftenderloin for $9.99/lb. Filets are not my favorite steak, so I'll pass. Hillshire smoked sausage for $2.99/pack.
29063 zip if anyone is interested.
Morning folks!
Dinner was fantastic last night.
Beeftenderloin with crab stuffed mushrooms, king crab, and roasted asparagus.
Seared the tenderloin. And finished to 135 in the oven. Asparagus with spritzed with evoo and balsamic vinegar. And gave them a dash of fresh cracked pepper and...
I always run the grill or smoker for the first day of a new year . I bought a whole Beeftenderloin that I'll cut some steaks out of for Tomorrow's supper .
I can't stand Black eyed peas , and if I prosper anymore I won't be able to stand it .
Now Great Northerns and a double smoked ham bone...
...wings I'll do in the Ninja 6+1 . That thing makes great wings . Then the usual appetizers .
Just got finished cleaning up a whole Beeftenderloin for tomorrow .
$8.99 a pound .
Filets cut from the middle section , and the big end for roasts .
The tail got cubed .
Filets seasoned and into...
...day I put the 3 bones and fat chunks into the instapot to make a beef broth. I let it go for the maximum of 4 hours. It turned out very rich, and I need to come up with a good use for this Does anyone have any suggestions?
Next up for NYE or NY day: 21 Day Dry Aged Grassfed BeefTenderloin...
Just smash burgers tonight with caprese salad, lil smokies and port wine cheese. conjuring up a rub for New years day, cause ribs were $1.99 at Winn Dick-me. (St Louis and baby back)
We ate crap all day. Pizza for game time 1PM. then cocktail wienies in bbq sauce simmered with a dip bowl of port wine cheese melted. Then something Linda picked up called taquitas.(frozen mini burritos. we had no left overs.
Well team (and advisors) about a month has past since I started this post and I am back at it again. Inspired by @SmokinEdge and @I-am-Chorizo I started to cure up a potpourri of bacon today.
Pork Belly (1kg) and Wagyu Beef Bellly (1.5kg)
1.5% Salt
.75% White Sugar
.25% Cure
0.05% Sodium...
I got it, too, but $4.97/lb. Going to try it tomorrow or Friday.
So my closest Kroger has them for $3.99/lb. with the card, not BOGO. Any way to weasel your deal?
I made four different flavors, 3 beef top rounds and one pork tenderloin pounded out flat like schnitzel.
Garlic soy, teriaki, and black pepper with soy and worchester.
The pork was a mimic of a Carolina bbq sauce, sort of.
The marinade flavor was almost overwhelming, way too strong on the beef...
Look at that closeup!! Looks great Robert. I love Hunan beef. Brian is adding to my homework list as well with Asian food and a new keto flour blend. I've got a ton of tenderloin tips that will be used in some manner of Asian fare.
Pretty sad deals here starting tomorrow at Kroger. These are the coupons and I'll pass. Can't believe such weak deals with the superbowl happening Sunday :(
There is the usual weekly $5.99 steak deals (Bone in choice Ribeyes) this week at Kroger, and other stories. Also buy one get one free...
