...and an awesome burger!
No pics just wanted to share that for anyone who's seen them but like me stayed away due to the price.
Got a pork butt in the Yoder right now :) We're gonna try something with Poblanos & pulled pork.
Hope everyone had a great Independence Day!

...Stuck one RFX in the tater, one in the Strip and slapped the Gateway on the patio door.
From the Strip to the Gateway goes thru 10ga Yoder, some 65 feet across the backyard to the patio door. From the tater to the Gateway goes thru the indoor oven, across the kitchen, thru kitchen wall...
Hey guys! Looking to get into a pellet smoker from an old MES XL. I do want to stick with american made. Love the yoder but that price tag is pretty high right now(hopefully one day). Was wondering what other good smokers are out there for american made (or north american made at least) i was...
Another vote for Yoder. Got my YS640s comp cart almost 4 years ago, built like a tank and operates perfect. I have yet to encounter any rust issues, however I treat it like a classic car, stored in the garage with a cover on it and only comes out when no rain/snow is on the radar.
I feel any of...
I love my Yoder YS640. Got it in 2018 and I have used the heck out of it. Replacement parts are easily obtainable. I've heard & read more complaints about rust than anything but any rust my cooker has experienced doesn't affect the function nor the flavor. They are cooking machines!

...PP665. I'd like a pellet grill to mostly smoke on here year-round. I have a couple of smokers I'm leaning into at the moment (Weber Searwood, Yoder YS640s and LSG 20x36) for various reasons but would like some input. I'm still digging thru the forums reading old posts to see what I'm missing...
Thats a fine purchase right there! I did the same, ever since I saw a Yoder some years ago I wanted one. Thought about it for a couple years, bought mine the spring of 2021, my first and only pellet rig too!

...for me. First batch of tallow and first brisket I've ever prepped using mustard for a binder for the Salt & Pepper rub.
19 1/2 hours in the Yoder with Smokehouse Blend pellets from Sam's.
The Signals system is a great tool for overnight cooks.

I've never made on anything else. I smoke it on my Yoder pellet smoker set to it's lowest temp. 150f. Usually takes 3-5 hours depending on meat thickness. And I rotate it is often. My Yoder runs a good bit hotter on the bottom rack.
I have this same exact setup. I vacuum out the ash from the burn pot in my Yoder and set it for 150°F for ~5 hours. Works great. I make a 5lb batch 2x a month. Starting with a clean burn pot helps ensure it stays lit.
...layer of Killer Hogs AP rub followed up by a generous coat of Killer Hogs BBQ rub. Man, that color is not filtered in any way.
Loaded the Yoder with Lumberjack 100% Oak (first time using this particular type of pellet) and locked in @ 275°.
Decided to make a few poppers. They were BOMB...
I smoked two 20 lb turkeys last Thanksgiving on my Yoder 640s. I did not have any issues bringing up to temp in time or space. It is 1070 sq in. I wouldnt smoke them at 225° but if it can get to 300° you won't have any issues.
...the same problem. To solve the problem I manufactured an elevated second grate to get the meat farther above the fire pot. This solved the problem but ultimately led me to buy a larger pellet grill with the fire pot on the side not in the center, the Yoder Ys 640 works much better as a pit...
I looked at the Blazn grills when I was looking at pellet smokers... they are impressive! Ended up going with a Green Mountain Grill, which the Daniel Boone is now called Peak. Partially the price and secondly I could drive 15 miles and pick it up. Been real happy with it.

My first pellet pooper and I figured go big or go home. Been planning this buy for over 2 years and finally pulled the trigger and just got it assembled. Should have some new posts for y'all soon!
