I do have an electrician to do it for me I just wanted to get the materials ahead of time hence the pic of what I have so far. I guess my question was what terminals it was referring to for the elements and what wire to buy so I had it all when he showed up. It’s a family member so I didn’t want...
i received my Inkbird ITC-106VH along with a SSR-40 DA and the wiring diagram looks very vague to me. It will be a 240volt and have 2 heating elements. Also will 10/3 wire be enough? I’m going to plug this unit into my dryer outlet in my garage. Any ideas? Here is a pic of what I have

And also I’m trying to find an oven element to match at the moment. Any suggestions where to find oven...
How is everyone connecting the element through the sidewall. Will I have to run the connections through conduit because it doesn’t look like the prongs are long enough to stick through the 2x4 wall. I would hate to catch the insulation on fire
I kinda thought that too. But before that I was gonna use cement backer board and was worried about that also I also don’t think I should just use aluminum by itself on the studs even though there will be rock wool insulation behind it. High temp is what it will be used for but no...
UPDATE!!!!!!! Got the shell. Ut now I just have to decide what to use for the interior. I did some more research and seen that concrete board wasn’t the healthiest idea to use so I thought about just using plywood , not sure yet. Open to suggestions other than metal that would be too expensive.
Has anyone ever used a non insulated cres cor for building a smoker? If so how did you insulate the outside besides welding tarps? Basically thought about building a shell that be a roof with the walls hanging from that down the sides out of 2x4’s and insulating between the studs and covering...
That’s the best explanation I’ve seen so far as to what a PID is Has anyone used a non insulated Cres Cor 150 and insulated it? If so would that work? I found one online for a lot cheaper than I could build one

Ok that makes sense now. Do you by chance have a wiring diagram and if I were to go plug n play with a PID they all look like they have 120v female outlets. Also what did you use as far as insulating the smoker? Sorry I have so many questions I just want to get it done right the first time. My...
That sounds about like what I need. Is there any way you can tell me how you built one and also do both elements run off of 1 240 v outlet. Also are both elements in the bottom of the smoker and did you use a fan?
