    My first whole smoked turkey!

Turns out it wasn't dry at all. Must just me being critical. Everyone thought it tasted great. Mom had made an oven baked and I smoked one. The gravy from the juices too was awesome. Nice smokiness to add to the flavors. Now to eat the rest for 4 more days! Excited about this new smoker.

Turkey number 1 just off the Acorn

Nice looking bird. What do you do with it now that it's done? Is it going to remain whole for tomorrow? Curious as I'm not sure if best to rest it then go ahead and break it down or leave it whole and reheat tomorrow. First turkey I've done. Mine got a little hot at 175 when pulled.

    Turkey Newbie. Need help

I just did a 12 lb turkey in my MES at 275 in about 5.5 hours. It ended up at 175 when I pulled it. I really need a good thermometer that can monitor it. I went a little higher than I anticipated.

    Hello from VA

Hi all!  I started out smoking with my Brinkmann Charcoal Griller before I just moved up to a Masterbuilt Electric 30".  Couldn't pass up the Walmart deal on it and loved that it's insulated as well.  I had done some mods to my old Brinkmann last season to try to get it to be more regulated temp...
