Biggest difference from the GMG is the incredible even smoking, no burnt spots.

Fully welded, thicker gauge steel, roll top lid very useful, larger pit, bottom rack slides.

Update, happy to inform I’m the proud owner of a Pitts and Spitts 1250, wheel upgrade, wi-if.

I like the Pitts and Spitts more than the Yoder but Wi-Fi is an afterthought for them and 1 damn meat probe what’s up with that? Wish the Lonestar controller was on the 1250

Recteq certainly has a fan club, and great digital marketing however I see it as a lateral move rather than a upgrade. Plus I think I would rather buy a American made products.

Sorry don't want to step on toes but the Mak doesn't interest me at all. Don't like the design and it's too small.

Still trying to decide on a new Pellet smoker. My GMG still performing but want a forever top of the line grill. I thought I wanted a Yoder or maybe a Pitts and Spitts but then decided on the Lonestar Grillz 20x40. Talked to Chris and the wait time is better than 5 months and shipping is $550...

Never had one feed issue with my Daniel Boone in 4 years of use. Has worked perfectly.

My GMG Daniel Boone still going strong after years of use. Not a single problem. Looking to upgrade to a high end unit. But for the price you can’t go wrong with a GMG.

I have been terribly unhappy with my ThermoWorks meat will be at say 89 degrees then alarm will go off 10 min later and 1 probe will be 170. Dont know if it’s a bad unit or bad probe.

Anyone have any info on Pitts and Spitts WiFi? I just cant understand why on the 1250 which is on my Short list only has 1 probe for such a large grill

I haven't heard of that issue during my research. I would already have a 640 if they were not so hard to locate. Looks like a Pitts and Spitts 1250 with the big wheels and wifi might win out
