Featured Prime Boneless Striploin Steaks on the Q

It was 8.99 a pound. That's a Christmas time sale though. The prime rib roasts were the same price. nice marbling on yours. I bet they were delicious!

    Any other SMF Bourbon/Whiskey "enthusiasts"?

Jim beam has other distilleries. The main one was scheduled for a remodel and upgrade. They overproduced and have to pay taxes on the bourbon on hand so they decided to go ahead and shut it down for the remodel. The New York Times likes to sensationalize things.

1.5 lbs ground chuck. Bread crumbs. 3 nice sized Habaneros, cored and seeded, finely chopped. 2 large Jalapenos sliced and coarse chop. Cajun spices, minced onion and chili powder. Mix all ingredients well in a large mixing bowl. Roll into meatballs approximately the size of a ping pong ball or...

While these were cooking I did some bologna burnt ends and Photon Torpedoes (hand rolled meatballs with Habanero and Jalapeno peppers) on the Weber kettle. It was a busy morning.

Featured Prime Boneless Striploin Steaks on the Q

Good looking plate! I love a good strip steak. Got a strip loin on sale with the prime rib roasts at Christmas and hand cut some steaks. We had some for dinner and froze the rest for later.

Hello everyone. I haven't posted anything for a while and even though I still enjoy cooking on the smokers I haven't taken many pics. I did smoke a couple prime rib roasts for family Christmas dinner for 16. This one was 10 lbs and the one not pictured was 4 pounds. I cooked the smaller one to...

    Any other SMF Bourbon/Whiskey "enthusiasts"?

I live in the heart of bourbon country. That Buffalo Trace is nice. I keep a bottle handy. The Russells Reserve is my go to though. Also have some Knob Creek, Henry McKenna, Jefferson's small batch, Weller, Evan Williams Vintage, Old Forrester 1920, Willett Pot Still and I keep a handle of good...

Paint peeling off of the Firebox of my brand new offset smoker

Kinda a get what you pay for thing. I've always coated them inside and out with cooking oil before the first burn. Eventually the paint will burn off the firebox regardless. Then on a cheaper unit the firebox itself will burn out.

    Last prime rib.

I had 1 more Angus rib roast left in the freezer from when they were on sale. I figured it was time to thaw it out and show it some love. Simple SPOG rub with a splash of chili powder. Weber Kettle with a fuse, hickory, oak and a little mesquite. Finished at 138 because I like it on the medium...

    Ribeye roast question

Sorry, didnt get pics of it sliced but it was 135 center to thick end and about 140 on the thinner end. I triple wrapped it in heavy foil wrapped in towels, into the cooler and headed to my in-laws for dinner for 12. I also smoked a 5lb. center cut pork loin. It was all very good. Bear, have...
