    Tried making jerky and failed

    Thanks, I agree the microwave is for heating soup. I was afraid it might change the texture. I'm gonna do the foil oven thing. I'm kinda playing around with this, because I'd like to give my closest friends some BBq to take home or as gifts around the holidays.

    Before ending summer and going into winter a smoked twelve slabs of ribs, vacuum packed them and threw them in the freezer for those cold days I would'nt be able to smoke. Glad I did...it's been a long, cold, snowy winter here in Denver. Now I have a hankering for those slow smoked delicious...
