    Guys, I have a chance to buy a pretty much brand new MWS pellet smoker. I have an MES 40 B now and really like it. I've heard good things about pellet smokers and have been doing as much research as I can. What are the pro's of a pellet smoker (not grill) over an electric. Thanks guys!

    Academy has great prices. I bought my 140B for $199.00 and love it. I also added an Auber WiFi controller.

    I’ve read Gen 2 is the least desirable. Gen 2.5 is definitely a step up. Based on that picture this model is a 2.5. Offset water pan, vent on left.

    I think you have it now. I use the chip loader to regulate as well. I’ll need to make a few adjustments during the smoke but it regulates well.

    I bought a replacement gasket from a green egg. Removed the door, put a layer of gasket on the smoker, and a layer on the door. Works great!!

    Go with a pit temp of 275 and when you get to 160 IT, wrap it in foil. Last time I did an 8#, it took 24 hours (that was at 225). Good luck! Post some pics throughout the day!!
