Oh man, had some troubles with the temp! But I was determined haha! Came out absolutely perfect! I think every time I smoke something I say, this is the best I've ever had!
I prep my lunches for the week, had some thighs to use up and just wanted to smoke something! Royal oak lump, apple wood (what I had left!) Smoking between 240 and 280. Just put it in! Here's some so far pics!

So I'm bad at taking pictures...being very new to this and still learning to control temps ..it slipped my mind! Anyway, last week I did a third test run (first time ever, it got way too hot and took forever to get back down! Topped out at 370, second time I couldn't get it hot enough!) Things...
I did the same today but was just seasoning it. I got it down to temp the last....4? Hours. I think it's misleading how much charcoal to use (I used lump). I filled a chimney almost full, then dumped it in the basket. Then took out enough to make a depression (picture a volcano?), Heated those...
My new and first smoker! Spent the day seasoning it and learning it. Have had it around 250 for 3 hours now, pretty pleased! Cooking ribs in the oven....woke up with a migraine and couldn't get to seasoning it in time! Still excited! Loving my Bluetooth thermometer (soraken)!
