    Looks good! I wonder how the "aftermarket" control systems people are building are going to hold up over time relative to Masterbuilt's controls. I'm guessing that most well designed/built ones will hold up better over time, but that will take a while to get any data on.

    Yeah, I call it the ash tray because I only touch it when I'm getting rid of ashes. Chips I put in via the tube when using chips.

    Oil/fat separator for making sauces/gravies/etc is one of the essentials I'd add that I didn't see anyone mention. I'm a big fan of making them from scratch and a lot of the time it's too oily/fatty if you don't separate it out for my tastes.

    Mine has gotten wet from rain while smoking before without issue, if you have a top vent you might be better off rigging an umbrella or something to block some of the rain though, I keep mine under a bit of an overhang when smoking in the rain most of the time though.     IF you're still active duty ensure every bit of this stuff is documented in your medical record. If you aren't, see if they can link it to active duty. Sleep apnea is pretty much an automatic 50% disability rating with the VA....
