    Killer Grilled Shrimp

Love grilled shrimp. We'll need to try the marinade. We cannot get good fresh shrimp around here. We wait until Safeway throws them on sale for $5 pound and get a couple of 2 pound bags. They're the imported stuff.

First time making beef back ribs

I think they look fine. Maybe pull them a bit sooner so the carryover is more in the 200-205 range, but, they look good and they tasted good. As to sauce........I'm in your camp........not a sauce person.

15 year old Generac not running...replace?

I'm thinking you may wish to consider finding a new service company. Sounds like these folks may be running up the tab. Gas only comes out at a certain pressure from the meter. Not much can affect that without affecting everything else in the house. A good question to ask any and all service...

15 year old Generac not running...replace?

Since the wiring, automatic switch-over, and all that is all in place the cost of replacing the actual generator should be a lot less. The challenge you may have is whether the issue is truly the gas company or not. If it is, a new generator doesn't buy much. If it's sputtering and trying then...

    Dust Collector Recommendations

I used one of these setups for awhile. The cone is still around somewhere, probably in the rafters. It works for small jobs. Unless portability is the primary goal I'd suggest a larger system for a full blown shop. I have a Grizzly dust collector with a 5" port. It's a single phase 220V and has...

    Korean Wings

Great looking wings. Nice and crispy. I've stayed away from Gojuchan because of the heat. Maybe we'll need to work our way into it.

Corned beef - First overnight smoke on the new RT 1100!

Let me say that’s a great looking corned beef. With the added cheese it must have been one heck of a sandwich. I’ll vouch for the current price of corned beef. The one we cooked yesterday was a Sam’s corned beef and it was $34. I have not smoked a brisket yet. Too big for the wife and I. Maybe...

    Post your favorite knife!

I have an old buck that carried me through my apprenticeship as an electrician. I bought it in 1978. It’s been in the drawer for awhile. I need to clean it up. As you can tell it’s been sharped a few times.

Still One of my Favorite Knives

This is an old GE knife. Probably early 60's if I were to venture a guess.

Shrimp and Peanut Dip, a great easy appetizer to take to a friend

Simple wins….and as I’m discovering, the sauces and dips can carry a party. Good job!

    Gameday Ribs

Neighbor looking out for neighbor. That’s what’s good in life. I’d be more than happy to be in your neighborhood. The ribs don’t look bad either!
