Thanks everyone. It was a great bday given the environment that we are in. Wish everyone a great week ahead and I look forward to seeing everyone’s bbq creation this week!
Thanks for the reply. I figured that was the case so that’s why i was wondering if others experienced the same thing (Make sense others would also experience). Maybe the welding on the side of my unit wasn’t done well.
do you notice that the water pan help keep yhe meat moist? I’ve used it with...
Thanks. I didn’t realize my cover was not waterproof. Will get new cover. I’ve always used kingsford or lump coal and have had issues with both. It’s happened even after a thorough cleaning of the smoker and used new bag or charcoal. Will see if i can figure the issue.
I have a wsm and during the winter after i smoke meat, i let it air out then close vents and cover whole thing.. never fails to be molded when i want to use it again after the rain. Anyone know how to prevent mold?

How many people use water pan with their tareger? would you put pan right under the grill rack or on the rack to the side?
how many people line the heat shield with foil for easy clean up? Wonder if it would be a fire hazard If caught on fire due to grease.
Also when i center my ribs in the...
Thanks for the responses. I tried no wrap at 225 for 5-7 hours twice, both times the meat was starting to dry out. I’m thinking about going lower and slower but figured i’d ask to see if anyone has tried 180-200 for 7-8 hours. Not sure if ribs would hit 190 at those temps or if the ribs would be...
