    Jerky question from a rookie

Yeah I am not sure I can get the temp low enough, but I am willing to try it out.  I didn't think about a multi-tiered rack that might be the ticket.  Thanks Java. Aaron

    Jerky question from a rookie

My setup is a 4 burner propane grill and a AMNTS for smoke.  I can handle the smoking part I think, my big issue is since I don't have an actual smoker, hanging jerky is not an  option.   What is the best way to do as much jerky as possible in a propane grill?  I did do a little searching and...

8# Ham and a rack of BB

AMZNTS gets all the credit.  I have to say for a $199 grill the Char -Broil is doing it's job pretty well too.  Even the bi-metal thermometer has been pretty accurate so far.  I have read enough here to know not to trust it, but it jived with my prob during this cook really well.  I was...

After reading some ham posts here on Smoking Meat, and not being the biggest ham lover.  I decided I wanted to try smoking a fully cooked ham.  My mother wanted ribs and was in town visiting so I did 1 rack of babyback ribs. Ribs were rubbed (no mustard or any "glue") put in the fridge for 24...

Need advice from all of you experienced folks... Please help!!

Just chiming in on the AMNPS  I have the AMNTS and a cheap propane grill and it was amazing (truly) how well it worked.  My char-broil has all kinds of gaps around the lid and it was pretty windy and my first smoke of spare ribs came out great.  They make some great products.   Glad you got...

    First run smoking

3 Racks of Pork Spareribs.   First forgive me I didn't read about trimming the flap and the breastbone portion of the ribs until after.  So pre-processing will go better next time.  I did remove the membrane. I used the 3-2-1 method but after the 2 before the 1 they were good to go and I...

Anyone use Lemon or Lime Juice in Jerky Marinade?

You can find the whole dehydrated limes the same way and yes the lime flavor it imparts is strong and very good at least to my taste. Aaron
