What to replace my recteq rt700 with

Another option, if you're allergic to hard labor (like me 😁), would be to let your local auto body shop sandblast it for you and then repaint it. Still cheaper than buying a new smoker.

Adding Extra Smoke to Pellet Smokers

Through trial and error, I found this is what works for me in my Camp Chef Windwood.

Lumberjack pellets in SF Bay Area, CA

The LJ website shows 7 dealers within 100 miles of SF. I buy from a home based dealer in my area and usually get 10 bags when I buy. Based on how often you cook, that might work for you as well. You also might want to call LJ and ask them if they have any home based dealers in the SF area.

    Cabela's vs Traeger pellet smoker

It might be helpful getting information if you were to fill in your general location. There may be forum members that also live in your area and can help you find better options for both grills and pellets.

RecTec RT700 or Camp Chef Woodwind Pro 36 w/Sidekick

I bought my Woodwind in Feb 2019. I called their CS line several times during the first year of use and they answered the call within a few minutes each time I called. A couple months ago, I was having an issue with the newly installed Wi-Fi controller during a pulled pork cook and called...

What brand pellets are 100% wood listed on bag?

I use LJ and buy from a supplier that operates out of their home. Last year, I was getting 20 lb bags of Competition Blend for $10; this year they are $12. You might want to check with LJ to see if there is a home business dealer in your area.

Camp Chef Smoke Pro Wifi Upgrade

I tried it back in 2020 and it would not work at all at my location. It wouldn't connect to my router at all. My choice was to add a wifi booster, move the router, or get a refund. I got the refund. Thinking maybe trying it again this summer when I get back into smoking stuff, like ribs...

    Thermometers and Yoder YS640s

Not familiar with Meater +, but it's easy enough to check accuracy of it with a cup of ice water and a pan of boiling water.

The new Camp Chef Woodwind Pro looks promising

Shucky darn - NOW I may have to consider selling my Woodwind 24 next year and replace it with the newer Pro. Loving my Woodwind, but like the increased smokiness with the Pro. I think it may be ideal for better smoked salmon. Hope to see salmon smokes on the Pro soon.

    Kirkland Wood Pellets

The Kirkland brand pellets are not listed on the Costco website, which I think is odd. I am looking here: Home Patio, Lawn & Garden Grills & Outdoor Cooking Grill Tools, Accessories & Fuel (https://www.costco.com/bbq-grill-accessories.html)
