No MES, But got a SMOKIN" deal on a Bradley

We have a Lowe's, Walmart, Home Depot, in fact a few of each.  The problem is that none of them stock MES smokers, and things like this I like to see in person before buying.  It seems here in Portland, OR, smoking meat is not a really popular thing, but oh well.  So far the smoker is great, i...

No MES, But got a SMOKIN" deal on a Bradley

As some of you may know I was in the market for a 30" MES.  The bad part is that no one around me carries them or any accessories.  Well in my search for a new smoker after my brinkmann went out last month, I found a great deal on a Bradley 4rack Stainless Steel on Craigslist.  Not only was it...

    Portland, OR MES 30"

Rangecop, Thanks for the help.  Does wholesale carry masterbuilt though?  I really think that is the right smoker for me, only time will tell, but the overall praise and the specs seem perfect for what i need.

    Portland, OR MES 30"

Thanks for the responses.  I am going to actually go in and check today to see if lowes and home depot stock them.  On their websites they say they don't but you never know...  I would go cabellas but its a 2.5 hour drive each way to the closest one, which is quite a drive.  For some reason bbq...

    Portland, OR MES 30"

Hello, Well my Brinkman finally took a crap on me, the heating element went out.  Instead of screwing with that thing anymore it is time for a new smoker.  I have decided upon the MES 30"  I must do electric as I live on the second floor of a condo building and it is on a wood deck, and when i...

A Saturday of Firsts... First Butt, First Fatty, First ABT's

Alright boys, shes done.  Pulled her off at 200 degrees at 5pm.  Thats an 11 hour smoke on a 6.5 lbs brisket.  Took about 2 hours longer than i was planning, but luckily i left myself plenty of time.  Let it sit for an hour wrapped in the cooler.  Then pulled it, and applied the finishing...

A Saturday of Firsts... First Butt, First Fatty, First ABT's

The fatty was good.  As i stated it was my first one, so i don't have anythign to compare it to, but it was better than i thought it would be, just a little heavy on the bacon for me.  Here are some pics of the ABT's that just finished.  I have two types, one with cheddar little smokies and the...

A Saturday of Firsts... First Butt, First Fatty, First ABT's

Here is the Fatty fresh off the grill.  Smoker for 3 hours.  Went to 165 internal.  Then finished her off for 30 seconds on a hot grill.  The grease was making 3 foot high flames so it only needed a couple seconds on each side on the bbq grill.  I have it resting in a cooler in tin foil right...
