Finally, A Great Brisket! With Some Q-View (If I Figure It Out!)

Thanks for looking! I don't have an electric smoker, though. That's why I was surprised the smoke ring wasn't more pronounced. Always get a good ring on my ribs. not a big deal, as the flavor was there.

Finally, A Great Brisket! With Some Q-View (If I Figure It Out!)

Not to brag or anything, but my previous brisket smokes have been utter failures (outside of having a reason to sit around and drink) but this one was a great success thanks to the advice I found from you all here on smokingmeatforums.com. My smoker isn't large enough for a full brisket, but it...

    Master Forge Double door questions

I have the gas version of this smoker and I have very few complaints. My only problems with temp control are my own bad habits of opening the dang thing up too much, and I smoked a pork butt last weekend, and I had some trouble getting the temp up in the colder weather. It hovered around 200-215...

    Master Forge gas smoker questions

I use the same smoker (which I love) so I think some of it is just keeping the doors closed. I should know, as I'm the worst about it. Between adding water, adding wood, and spritzing the meat from time-to-time, I always end up with a longer cook than I should. The food sure turns out great though!

    New from Mansfield, TX

Long time reader of the site and newsletters. I just switched from using the Charbroiler charcoal grill with indirect heat to the Master Forge propane smoker. I'm a casual smoker, but I'm getting better all the time. I've only done ribs and a pork shoulder since I got the new smoker, but both...

    FINISHING SAUCE (for Pulled Pork)

For anyone thinking that this sauce would be too vinegary, I made it for the first time last weekend. It sure smelled like it would be too strong, but when it incorporates into the meat...well I don't think there is anything quite like it. I'm telling you, I will never be without it! I also made...
