Well we had to go to the other side of town where a Tractor Supply plus was to pick some thing up from another store, so we stopped by and I picked up a bag of those pure corn cob pellets and decided to use them for bacon. I did 2/3's corn cob, 1/3 of fruit wood blend from pit boss. Despite a fear of over smoking <We had some major wind pick up and corn cob pellets seem to really take off!> it turned out fine! Heck, best colour I've ever seen..
My Italian spiced bacon went over well..ear marked for BLTs and wraps. Not to strong, but it comes through, always a nice feature in a sammie. Really glad I found out I could use corn cob to smoke with here. Definitely some thing I'll be trying more of. Just maybe when there isn't enough wind to get two rows of pellets going!
Thanks for looking and the dogs are still begging for more of the plain stuff! No Italian for them but they sure liked to wait for tidbits!
