Howdy! Posting from TX, a little ways northeast of Dallas. Just inherited my very first smoker today - it's a hand-me-down - an older New Braunfels offset horizontal smoker... Needs a new handle and shelf on the outside, but otherwise it is in great shape! Hoping to get something going in it this weekend, but I don't even know where to begin, or what I want to try for my first attempt!! I'm a total foodie, and LOVE to cook - this is just a new skill for me.... Suggest away!!! Thanks in advance for tips/tricks/suggestions! :)
