Once again, winter comes either raging in or is someone else's problem. It's tough for all but especially so for the senior citizens who are no longer able to help themselves during these stressful times. What we might consider just a little snow or ice may be a mountain to those who may have difficulty getting around. Their adult children may have moved away and their only real social contacts are other senior citizens. If the weather turns rotten, the winds howl and the snow cuts people off from "civilization", take a moment and contact your neighbors to make sure they're ok or if there's some kind of help you can give. We don't need to wait for a major situation to develop. Small situations can become big situations to those who can't help themselves. Don't let their pride stand in the way if you notice they need help. Ask. Help. We're a big group with members around the nation and around the world, from Tahiti to South Africa and all countries in between. That's a lot of helping hands.
To all, may the new year be better than this one and may you find joy.
