I picked up a 4 pack of choice 2 inch ny strips from Costco to cook for Mothers Day. Season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper and little bit of garlic granules. Cooked them at 300 degrees in my propane master build box smoker with a wood chip mixture of the jack Daniels oak chips and some hickory chips. Pulled them out of the smoker when the internal temps hit 110 degrees and finished them off with a quick sear of about 1 min on each side on my little 14inch weber kettle. I packed it with as much royal oak lump charcoal as it would hold and man did it get hot! Let them rest for about 10 or 15 min under foil while the other foods finished cooking. We also had crab cakes, asparagus, roasted potatoes with Greek seasoning and a Cesar salad.
