Today is our anniversary ( when people ask how long I always say it will never be long enough but we do have a kid in her second year of college lol). I am home with a banged up knee so im cooking surprise dinner.

It will be petite sirloin brushed with EVOO and seasoned with my simple SSPOG then wrapped in plastic until its time to cook. Also doing some salmon brushed with EVOO and seasoned with herb and garlic and will be cooked on a ceder plank. Also going to do some shrimp coated with EVOO and the same garlic and herb seasoning. Then I put them in butter( add some lemon later) for awhile then i will decided if i want to skewer and grill them or just saute them right in the butter garlic we will see lol. Last but not least some corn on the cob but not sure yet how im going to do that as i have never grilled or smoked corn before.

Going to have salad as well and Here is a few prep pictures will update later and the two on the cooker already is my lunch .Now off to research cooking corn in my cooker lol

not sure what that means or how to fix it. they are showing up fine on my screen here.

so i found this idea online and in typical fashion went with it lol. pull back the husks and get rid of the silky stringy stuff then soak the corn for a couple hours. then wrap it in bacon and pull husks back around the corn and cook at 225 for an hour or so and turning the corn from time to time. so we will see how that goes lol.

The steaks ended up being kinda thin and started looking a little dry at 140( target was160) so i brushed with BBQ and put in a pan with foil cover. I pulled them at 160 wrapped and resting and  put on the corn. soon i will put on the salmon and shrimp.

i will prob pull the husks off because im within 30 minutes of the dinner being done and only the ends are getting crispy. i hope the corn dont get to smokey. maybe i should have only taken some of the husk off but we will see and ill let you know how it goes

so took the husks off but think i should have only taken some off because then the corn started to dry out. so while this sounds good and im sure is great when you get it right. i clearly have some practice to get it right lol.

finished pics a little later
