Decided to make some use of the downtime while at work tonight and fire up my smoker for some back ribs. Just using a mcormicks pork rub with a little extra brown sugar on these. Just put them on at 4:40 Gonna let them go for 3 hours @ 230-250° then foil. Stay tuned.

I only use baby loin back ribs. I get Swifts Premium at Costco and are 3 in a cryovac. The membranes are already off. I smoke mine naked at 250-275* for about 3 hours. At that time, I usually have a really good bend. I then sauce/glaze them twice for 15 minutes each time. They are really good tasting with a slight tug.

Give it a try. Sometimes foil over cooks them and leaves them mushy.

They turned out fantastic.

Loin backs are expensive here.

Thanks.
They are usually 3.50 a lb here but i ended up getting them on sale for 1.99 lb

Those look perfect!  My last loin backs were about $6.00 a lb.  Nice smoke!

Mike

Ouch no way I'd have paid that. Im pretty cheap though. I wait til boston butts go below .99cents a pound to buy them. Ribs 1.99 is my magic number.

Your ribs look fantastic!

I don't have to pay that much for them, but they do cost more than spares.

They are my favorite though!

Point!
