2014 Thanksgiving Dinner at Bear Jr’s House
It was nip & tuck here at the Bear Cave for Thanksgiving Dinner, because we got 10” of snow the night before & we lost electric for a couple hours on Wednesday night, and a couple more on Thursday morning, but luckily power was restored at 10 AM Thanksgiving Morning.
Bear Junior is my Turkey Goto guy, so he got the call. This year he brined an 18 pounder in Mad Hunky Poultry Brine, and smoked it in his Large “Big Green Egg”.
He confessed to me that he just barely had enough lump to do the job, because the bag he saw in his garage was a 50 pound bag of Fish Food, and not Lump charcoal. LOL
Mrs Bear made the Filling, the Green Bean Casserole, and some dessert things, and Bear Jr’s wife made the rest of the sides & a Pumpkin Pie.
We skipped the dessert because we were all stuffed & nobody wanted to miss any of the Cowboy Butt-Kickin’ by the Eagles. (Final 33-10)
Check out the Pics Below & enjoy.

Diesel is paying close attention, but none for him. He gets a Smoked Cow Femur Bone, while we eat.
Sorry about the blurry picture, but Diesel isn't good at holding still.
