Tomorrow is officially Thanksgiving DAy in Canada. As my daughter will be working then, we held the meal today. Brined a bone in turkey breast overnight. Smoked it in MES for 4 1/2 hrs at 240F using hickory. It needed a little oven time as not quite done.

Was quite tender and juicy. Nice amount of smoke flavour but not overpowering. Made dressing (my daughters one request of things to include in meal); mashed potatoes; green bean with bacon, lemon juice and grated parmasen cheese and gravy using stock created from cooking giblets all day. There is cranberry sauce (ok, from a can). There also were devilled eggs. There is an apple cake for later.

Great looking spread! I’ll take a heaping plate of everything.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy long weekend uh Thanksgiving.
Nice spread and happy you are flexible for your daughter.
Wife and I are not turkey eaters so we spatch cock a chicken if we do a Thanksgiving meal.

Very nice and happy Thanksgiving! Oh and by doing it early you might even have a chance to eat all the left overs! Lol
