I have the unit that came out just before that one and I have loved it for years now. Mine is built completely out of alumiun frame with granite inlays for the tops too. That unit does have to complete granite on the top too. Now I made a few mods on mine with one being the refrig that is inserted into the cabinet. I also live close to the beach so the salt air could be a problem but it's not here the cabinets are still holding up very nicely.
