Saw an flyer for Giant Eagle yesterday that listed their store grind certified Angus Burger blend for $1.99 per lbs with no limit noted. Generally chuck, steak and roast trimmings. It's 75/25 , I usually buy 80/20 but at this price well worth it. Will make great burgers. It's an hour from me so I called ahead as I thought it must be a misprint in the ad, nope legit!! Here's the 33 lbs when I cleaned out the nest counter lol
Todays take was to pack them up. Breaking down to 1 lbs chunks.
Each wrapped and lightly shows in parchment paper. This is the first time I did that and always will moving forward. Made it so easy to put them in the bags and keep the bags clean for sealing.
Took me a little over an hour to pack them all up and load the freezer. If you have a Giant Eagle near you sale runs through today. It's on the 3 day special meat sale flyer. Thought I'd share in case anyone has one near by. This saved me at least $100 over my small town local pricing.
