Pretty good deal Dave. Are you the proud owner of one of these? Was wondering how they would do on fine blade fillet knives. Have a lansky and is kind of a PIA to go through all the steps to insure sharpness.

I love mine,I get started and end up with every knife in the house pulled out, and thanks for the reminder its time lol

I have the Ken Onion addition that I bought on a deal during the holidays. I really like mine and it gives my kitchen knives a good edge.

My only problem is my el cheapos don’t keep an edge for very long. I was glad I bought the work sharp when I did, figured the practice would be good before a got a better set of knives.

I also remember seeing that you could buy the belts pretty cheap in bulk instead of buying the work sharp ones that are $10-$20, anybody familiar with this?

Yep, I own one... works well for quick sharpen or even better if you take your time and get an almost professional sharpen...

I buy the belts in bulk also...

The W/S with the Ken Onion attachment is just short of extremely awesome. I jumped on the deal on Amazon also during the last Christmas holidays. The belts just last forever, still on the original set. Where can you buy them in bulk?

I too have the Ken Onion edition and would recommend getting that because it makes it very easy to dial in different edge angles.

The instructions make a big deal of not needing to replace the belts very often, so I'm still using my original set.

It is the best sharpening device I've ever used.

I'm another K O edition owner. Resisted spending the money for years. Got it on a daily deal on Amazon.

I've been a house carpenter and boatbuilder for a combined 50 years and know how to sharpen chisels and plane irons, with a stone, but can't match the Worksharp on knives.

Takes no time at all and gives good serviceable results.

Bingo! This is the information I was looking for! I was thinking about buying this sharpener - Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener Ken Onion Edition -
for quite some time but was a little hesitant (because of the price). Expecting some extra money in my pocket for my birthday this Sunday and really aimed to get this sharpener... but something in my head keeps telling me:"wait for Black Friday in November".... Though I feel this is a right decision (to wait) I am too eager to have this toy on my countertop now!
rexter314:"Where can you buy them in bulk?" - anyone on this?
