Hey all, the title is what it is… I frequently bring in leftover BBQ stuff… some of my coworkers say kind remarks… I just eat my lunch as they eat their deli foods.

So, now we are having a smallish lunch at work… we do a few times a year for new folks on crew, birthdays and such! One is actually leaving crew next week.

Someone made the comment of a feed…

All options were on the table…

Most said… we really want to taste what we smell most days…. Justin… you do the meat!

Ok!

I take that as a humbling compliment… but I cook for my fam not a crowd.

Do I just do what I do and they can season accordingly if it’s not enough spice?

Am I just overthinking?

I’ve never had a group ask for my cooking… I just do it as a hobby and get away from normal life’s stuff.

I am thinking of just my normal cook as I don’t think you can please everyone…

Any input is welcome and appreciated!

You'll do great Justin! But numbers of people help. As mentioned, pulled pork feeds a bunch. For smaller groups, cook what you enjoy cooking the most. Also, something that reheats well since it will be a work thing.

I'm with the do it the way you always do it crowd.

I've done a few cooks for the boys on the job site. I usually just do pork loin and slice for sammies and I always do it the same and it's nothing but smiles.

Worst thing you can do here Justin is over think it and start adjusting your seasoning and cook method. Best advice is to do you. Just cook and season like you normally do. They will enjoy it, sure you may not please everyone but you really aren’t trying to. You turn out some fantastic food, just role with that.

Pulled pork is an easy way to feed a crowd. How many are we talking about, Justin? And yes, just do what you do. Your a great cook from what I've seen.

I agree with the PP being a good feed. Just felt overwhelmed at the moment… when I feel that way smoking wise… I always refer to my smoking buddies! Also, very humbled by your last comment… Truly means a lot! Thank you Colin!

And sorry, it will be about 20 folks.

Agree with the others...Cook for you and they can adjust spicier as desired. Now whats on the menu and where do I apply for a job....Just for the day of the eating of course.

Jim

Thanks bud! As far as eating… just come to the house. Would take too long to get you on site for a BBQ… plus then we can enjoy a beer or two… three… 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Thanks for the like!

Thanks Keith, appreciate it buddy.

Butts on… seasoned pretty heavy with some Heath Riles Garlic Butter as a base… then a bit of Killer Hogs Hot Rub as a finish.
