How long will wood chunks last if stored in the plastic bag I bought them in and in a cabinet on my patio? I'm in rain free California so I don't believe weather would be a factor. I've had the chunks for about 3 years now. Should I break down and buy a new stash or go with the ones I've got?

Thanks again.

Never used them but I would try them, the worst thing that might happen is they burn up quicker, but if they were sealed up not even sure that would be the case

They should be still be good. With that said, cherry seems to lose flavor the fastest the older it is.
I say go for it.
