Has anyone ever taken a wood burning box, ones you can buy at Menards, Wal-Mart, ect. and put wood chips in it and startrd those to give your meat a more smokey flavor.
If you are speaking of the "covered" chip boxes.... the same effect can be achieved by covering a chip container with aluminum foil... and poking a few holes in it... The idea of the cover is to keep oxygen to a minimum so the chips won't burst into flame...
