Why 3 month wait for "Smoking Meat: The Essential Guide to Real Barbecue'"

I tried to order the book on Amazon, but there is a 1-3 month wait. I have tried to order it used from 2 places and both were out of stock after the order went through. Whats the deal? Is there a new addition coming out or something?

It sounds to me like the demand is outpacing the supply.  Its a very popular book around here.  You might PM TulsaJeff (the author, and also the owner of Smoking Meat Forums) and ask him directly.  He's a good guy and will surely help if he can.  Otherwise, I guess you can just keep checking on Amazon until you find one available.
