I have a bad habit of wiping my knife across my leg to clean it, and had a little accident. My buddy Blake sharpened my knife and I wiped it across my leg like i've done a thousand times, and it went through my jeans, and right through my leg. VERY STUPID. So here I sit 7 staples later with about a 5" cut above my knee. Never again.

OUCH!! We've all done things we wish we could take back....hope your recovery is quick!

Your buddy Blake must be like me. I find knife sharpening to be theraputic for me, I actually enjoy it! There is not a dull knife in my house and there never will be. Sharp knives demand respect. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear about the mishap with the knife. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
Andy.

Ah, that's OK, I have done the same thing myself maybe even more than once. I never had to get stiches or staples but I would bet that I could have used a couple once. Yep, I went from that backwards stropping type motion into a slight backwards slice. Yee-ow! Levis ain't as good as Kevlar!

As long as we are admitting brain farts.....

I was bored out of my brain one time at a "Social event" with my wife. As I stood there "being civil" I started to fidget with my pocket knife way down deep in my pocket. I was just opening the blade a little and letting it snap back shut. I had been doing this for a good while at the party and for many years before. At any rate, I somehow managed to let the blade snap back while a portion of my little finger was in the path of the blade travel. (Reads as "fa-lay-ed!" my little finger right alongside the fingernail from the knuckle to half way around the tip!)
