So I had this turkey in the freezer since......who knows. I didn't care for the last turkey I did in the smoker, so I thought I'd try something new. All I can say is I'll never cook one whole again. I cut it to pieces and brined the breast. It cooked evenly, fast, end everything stayed moist.

Cooked it in the drum. The log looks like it took about 1 hour and 45 minutes. I didn't connect the computer to the intake so it took care of itself, bouncing between 250-300; thus sayeth the tel-tru thermo.

now thats an interesting take on freezer turkey. i think i have a cuple myself, thks for the idea josh!!!
 
Congrats Josh, you've found a better solution to smokin' the big bird.
